Bidvertiser as an Adsense alternative

Bidvertiser has been on my list of sites to mention. In essence it is similar to Adsense and Adwords in that you can become an advertisers and pay per click to get visitors to your site. Or as a publisher you can display text ads and earn revenue from your site.

Advertising with Bidvertiser

Bidvertiser is quite an established text ad broker but not as big as Google Adwords. When you sign up as an advertiser you can get $20 of free PPC advertising which is useful for testing out the service.

Your ads will appear on websites rather than alongside search results. You get to select categories that broadly match your target audience or you can specify individual sites. You can bid as little as 5 cents but with higher bids you will get more exposure.

Bidvertiser allows you to set the maximum bid for your selected websites or categories and you can also target specific countries. Your ad is made up of a title with two short lines of description and a visible URL. Finally you can set a daily budget. If you have used Adwords than you will find the process quite familiar.

As an alternative to Adwords you should find a lower cost per click although you will not get the reach. Saying that Bidvertiser does have quite a number of publishers so you should find a close match to your market.

Bidvertiser Publishers

As a publisher you can place Adsense style ads on your site. When you apply you have to select a category for your site and if approved you can select from a range of ad sizes that can be customised using different text and background colours.

Having a smaller marketplace and lower demand the amount you get paid for each click will be lower than an equivalent Adsense ad. Bidvertiser text ads will probably appeal to those who do not want to place Adsense on a particular site.
